Shipping our sold dredges

Before we sell one of our used dredges, we very carefully and methodically go thru the entire machine to be sure it will run and function properly. Rust and rusty parts are either cleaned up and painted or replaced on the framework. Sluice box is inspected and repaired if necessary. Engine and pump are run and checked to be certain they will perform up to their maximum capability. Feature picture shows valve clearance being checked. Oil, and spark plug are changed, air cleaner checked. Pump is inspected for any damage and pump seal is replaced.

If air system is included, compressor is tested to be sure it pumps and holds pressure, relief valve is also checked, along with air lines, reserve tank, and regulator. Compressor drive belt is typically replaced. We know what it is like to pack your dredge into the canyon and have mechanical issues. Not fun, and it can be very time consuming to hike back to camp, drive out to pavement, head into the nearest town for replacement part(s), then do it all in reverse order. Basically you’ve lost a whole day, at minimum. Therefore, when a dredge leaves our facility, it hasĀ  been tested completely for perfect operation!

After all that, quite often they will need to be shipped. Our dredges are crated with plywood to be sure they arrive to you in the same condition as it left us. Typically we ship terminal to terminal as that is the most economical for the buyer. It can be delivered to your doorstep, but the shipping companies find several ways to add charges, such as residential address or lift gate charge. We take great pride in selling our used gold prospecting equipment, mostly used dredges, occasionally a high banker or maybe a dry washer. We try to keep a variety of equipment in stock and not all equipment is shown on the site. If you’re looking for something in particular inquire within.
